FULLERTON, Calif. –  Crittenton Services for Children and Families (CSCF) will host its annual Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Ceremony on Saturday, October 26, at Angelo’s & Vinci’s Ristorante in Fullerton, Calif.

Each year the agency honors the countless hours of dedication volunteers provide to programming efforts at CSCF, and most importantly to recognize the compassion volunteers show to the children and families in Crittenton’s care.

“Crittenton volunteers are an essential part of what helps Crittenton youth build healthy relationships with others,” said Marilyn Salzman, Director of Development, CSCF,”We are fortunate and eternally grateful to have the caliber of volunteers willing to take time out to mentor, lead by example and to honor their commitment to public service at Crittenton.”

CSCF invites all volunteers to take part at the 2013 Crittenton Volunteer Appreciation and Awards Ceremony at Angelo’s & Vinci’s Ristorante starting at 11:30 a.m. and located on 550 N. Harbor Blvd in Fullerton, Calif.

Volunteers planning on attending awards ceremony must reserve no later than Sunday, October 20, 2013.

Both individuals and volunteer groups will be honored at this year’s event, and award categories include:

  • The Parent and Child Education Center Cuddler Award
  • Extra Mile Awards for both Residential Treatment Program and Youth Shelter Services Program Volunteers
  • Behind the Scene Awards for both Residential Treatment Program and Youth Shelter Services Program Volunteers
  • Outstanding Group Award for both Residential Treatment Program & Youth Shelter Services Program Volunteer Groups
  • Crittenton Volunteer of the Year

CSCF will also proudly be presenting two long time volunteers The Presidential Volunteer Service Award that is earned after completing 4,000 or more hours of volunteer service over one’s lifetime. This prestigious public service award comes with a congratulatory letter from President Barack Obama and is an initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS).
