We thank members of the media and the public for their interest in Crittenton Services for Children and Families, in our mission, in the outcomes achieved by our clients and by the dedicated staff involved in our client services and programming efforts.
We understand and empathize with the needs of the media in regards to bringing awareness to the public in an accurate and timely manner via film, photography, print, audio, video, blogs, social media and other forms of communication outlets.
However, we respectfully request, members of the media reaching out to Crittenton Services for Children and Families to understand that we work in an environment where certain information (i.e. client information) is protected under applicable federal and state law.
Please note that we will do whatever we can do to assist the media produce quality work as long as client safety, privacy, and rights are being protected and respected.
Since we can’t always bring you to our clients we will do what we can to bring credible and accurate information to you. We use a mix of film, photography, artifacts, sounds, visuals, data and other information to communicate our mission and to tell the stories of the clients we serve.
Our biggest concern is re-exploiting or re-traumatizing our clients and we thank you and appreciate your patience when working with our agency.
(i) Under no circumstances do we show faces of victims who are minors or current clients who have not given consent for media interviews/publicity. Occasionally, we may show the faces of clients as long as explicit permission has been given by the client or clients guardian, partner agencies have given permission (federal, state or county agencies), and the media request poses no immediate danger to the client’s safety.
(ii) The faces and information of former clients 18 years and over may appear in our media efforts with an understanding of the purpose and with permission from our clients.
(iii) More detailed information on specific cases may also be released as long as all parties involved have granted the appropriate consent.
(i) The foremost goal is to create a platform for our clients, staff and community partners to share their voice and to share what the Crittenton experience is all about.
(ii) We engage influencers and related industry with our outreach initiatives, campaigns, events, and social conversations. One of our goals is to bridge the gap between the clients we serve and those who can make a difference.
(iii) We believe that educating the public and inspiring communities to empathize and engage with Crittenton’s mission is the ultimate solution. We also aspire for our outreach initiatives, campaigns, events and social conversations to have a profound impact on our audiences.
Lastly, we strive to have our message provide a platform for those that don’t, to influence community leaders creating strategy, and to inspire our supporters to engage in social good.
