Mission Statement

CRITTENTON OFFERS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE, SAFE SHELTER, AND INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT TO HELP PEOPLE IN NEED HEAL
FROM TRAUMA AND REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL.

Crittenton Services for Children and Families is a nationally accredited behavioral health and child welfare nonprofit with more than 50 years of experience serving the most vulnerable system-involved children, youth, and families. Our treatment philosophy is one of being trauma-responsive and is at the core of all our programming efforts in order to best address childhood trauma in a holistic and culturally sensitive manner.

Established and incorporated in 1966, Crittenton continues to prioritize treatment interventions that can proactively interrupt and break the cycles of abuse, neglect, and continued system involvement. We are proud to have a team of highly skilled mental health professionals working together in order to provide around-the-clock care; comprehensive mental health services; family-based support services and community-based services that best serve the needs of the children and families in our care.

Values

Client-focused

Everyone is worthy of our respect and care. Therefore, we provide individualized treatment to those we serve, and this is a guiding principle. In collaboration, we encourage self-advocacy and implement healthy methods for meeting needs.

Adaptable

Change is constant, whether in society, in our profession, or for our clients. It is an invitation for continuous learning and growth, which is the foundation of resiliency. With a forward-thinking mindset, our work requires dexterity and innovation in order to achieve results.

Compassionate

Because we often meet others in vulnerable moments, we lead with empathy and welcome everyone with words and actions. We build healthy connections and tend to our relationships through humility and kindness.

Culturally Responsive

Recognizing that we do not all start from the same position, we acknowledge imbalances & build spaces where everyone belongs. We pursue authentic representation, and we share power so that all identities are both respected and celebrated.

Committed

As we teach, assist, and encourage, we never give up. Our workforce is dedicated to our clients and to each other, identifying solutions to overcome barriers.
