FULLERTON, Calif.—Crittenton Services for Children and Families (CSCF) applauds the selection of Joyce Capelle, CEO, CSCF as the recipient of the Sharon Quirk-Silva, California Assemblywoman, 65th District 2013 Women of Distinction Award.

Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva represents the 65th Assembly District, which includes the communities of Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, Hawaiian Gardens, La Palma, Stanton, and West Anaheim.

“I am proud to honor these remarkable women who have made such a positive impact in our community and the 65th Assembly District. The legacy that each and every one of these women leaves, will help prepare and inspire our youngest women to make their own contributions in the years to come,” said Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva.

On Saturday, March 23, 2013, in honor of Women’s History Month, Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva hosted her first annual Women of Distinction event. More than 200 people convened in the theater lobby of Cypress Community College to join in the celebration.

Women from every city in the 65th Assembly District were honored and escorted by members of the Girls Scouts of Orange County as they received individual recognition from the Assemblywoman. Including Ms. Capelle, CEO, of CSCF, who in this role leads a social services agency of 500 plus employees and an around the clock operation. Ms. Capelle is also highly involved in a number of civic engagements including serving as Chair of the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce in Fullerton, Calif.
