Off the Track; Where to Call Home

Contributing writer, Brittany Patterson, for the Chronicle of Social Change recently covered the realities of housing options for commercially sexually exploited youth (CSEC) in the State of California. Despite the strict regulations, lack of funding and lack of public support for residential treatment centers due mostly to cost Ms. Patterson profiled one group home in Northern California that is doing an exceptional job in advocating for CSEC youth. Within the same article Ms. Patterson also gives a nod and mention to Crittenton Services doing similar work in Southern California.

Help heal the wounds of abuse and neglect; to strengthen families, whether birth, foster or adoptive; and to help troubled adolescents reach their full potential.
